Fox stays on sidelines
Dominic Fox will not be in action today after bruising his ribs in a fall at Newmarket yesterday.
The apprentice rider was taken to Addenbroke Hospital in Cambridge for X-rays on after being thrown from the Neville Callaghan-trained Bibi Helen on the way to the start of the PostTS Vodafone Top-Up Voucher Maiden Fillies’ Stakes.
Although he has not broken any bones, Callaghan confirmed: “He has bruised his ribs and will not be riding today.”
Fox had been due to ride two horses for Callaghan at Newmarket, Sanbonah in the Newmarket Countryside Raceday Handicap and Molcon in the Coral Sprint.
