Dessie and Dandy on parade

Desert Orchid and 1984 Grand National winner Hallo Dandy will be on parade at the final public open day at the current site of the Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre at Nateby, near Preston, on June 20.

TRC founder Carrie Humble said: “Dan is in the twilight of his life, while Dessie doesn’t appear in public too often, so it’s a wonderful chance for people to see these two great steeplechasers of yesteryear together.”

The TRC is on the move after purchasing the 127-acre Stafford Farm near the village of Pilling, several miles from its current rented accommodation, which will secure it’s long-term financial future.
