Boleyknowsbest and Kelly’s Craft dead-heated in an eventful race for the the Jondol Furniture Handicap Hurdle at the Punchestown Festival today.

Kelly’s Craft (20-1) held a narrow lead at the final flight under Ruby Walsh but Tom Treacy brought Boleyknowsbest (16-1) to challenge and on the run-in.

The two horses battled bravely to the line and they were inseparable at the finish.

King Carew (8-1) was third and Portant Fella (20-1) fourth.

Robbie Burns, trainer of Boleyknowsbest, said: “Everything was in his favour today, the ground, the trip and his handicap mark.”

Kelly’s Craft’s trainer Willie Mullins added: “I’m delighted with that fella. He appreciated the ground but he’s cut his leg so he will probably now have to have a month off.

“He will then go for the summer festivals.”
