The most valuable event of the Punchestown Festival, the Punchestown Heineken Gold Cup, takes place today.

A small but select field is likely to face the starter as only six remain after Friday’s final forfeit stage and with Rule Supreme only finishing fifth in the Betfred Gold Cup at Sandown last Saturday he must be deemed an unlikely runner.
