Isio has boxing date

Nicky Henderson has expressed his intention to aim Isio at the Pertemps King George VI Chase at Kempton Park on Boxing Day in what would be a first attempt at three miles for the much improved gelding.

Revealing that Isio would not run again this season, Henderson said: “When we ran him in the Vodafone Gold Cup (two and a half miles) at Newbury we honestly were in the dark as to whether he’d stay but when Barry Geraghty jumped off him he said he would go as far as you like.
