Davies fit after Aintree fall
James Davies will be back in action at Lingfield today after recovering from a fall in the Martell Cognac Grand National at Aintree yesterday.
Davies took a nasty spill when the Venetia Williams-trained Bramblehill Duke refused at Becher’s Brook on the first circuit.
The rider was taken to Fazakerley Hospital with neck injuries but Davies is fit to ride today.
“I’m fine, there’s nothing broken. I just had a bit of a sore neck so I was taken for some X-rays but they were all clear,” he said.
“Everything is fine, I’ve been schooling this morning and I’ll be riding this afternoon.”
Davies has four rides booked at the Surrey track, Another Copper, Apple Joe, Trumpington and Kiev.
