Trio passed fit for Grand National
Carl Llewellyn, Mick Fitzgerald and Leighton Aspell have all been passed fit to ride in this afternoon's Martell Cognac Grand National at Aintree.
The trio had to pass the doctor after taking falls at the Merseyside track yesterday.
Llewellyn suffered a cut wrist, while Aspell had an x-ray on his shoulder and Fitzgerald was shaken after a spill.
However, all three are fit for the big race so Llewellyn will team up with 2002 winner Bindaree with Fitzgerald on Kingsmark and Aspell aboard Skycab.
Richard Johnson, who fell from Willie John Daly in the last race yesterday, is also fit to race today, although he did not have to pass the doctor.
He rides What's Up Boys in the big one.
