The concluding Martell Cognac Somerfield Handicap Hurdle went the way of the Venetia Williams-trained His Nibs, ridden by Joe Tizzard.

The jockey, who picked up the ride as a spare because of an injury to Sam Thomas, kept his powder dry until late in the race and only went on at the final flight.
