Jockey Club ready for Fallon ride inquiry

Officials at the Jockey Club confirmed this morning that today’s inquiry into Kieren Fallon’s riding of Ballinger Ridge will concentrate solely on the riding offence which took place.

In a four-page article described as the “sports scandal of the decade”, the News of the World yesterday alleged the champion jockey told undercover journalists before the race at Lingfield last Tuesday that eventual winner Rye would beat his mount.
