Doncaster officials call off meeting

Doncaster have abandoned their meeting this afternoon due to frost.

Officials at the British track were confident of racing going ahead yesterday but temperatures dipped much lower than expected overnight, forcing a 7am inspection.

Clerk of the course Christopher Tetley said: “We have had to abandon after an inspection. We had five degrees of frost and it’s still freezing now.”
