Ludlow meeting gets go-ahead

This afternoon’s meeting at Ludlow in England will go ahead after temperatures failed to drop as low as forecast overnight.

Officials had been due to check the track at 7.30 this morning but they have now cancelled that inspection.

Clerk of the course Bob Davies said: “We only got down to minus one overnight and we just got a touch of ground frost which is already coming out as we’re up to zero degrees now.”
