Off-colour Solerina misses Navan

Top Irish mare Solerina will not run in the McCabe Builders Ltd Boyne Hurdle at Navan tomorrow.

Michael Bowe, son and assistant of trainer James Bowe, said: “I’m not happy with her this morning and won’t risk running her at Navan. She’s off-colour and off her feed.

“But the plan is still the same, the Stayers’ Hurdle at Cheltenham.”

Bowe was due to be double-handed in the race through Florida Coast, but he added: “He may not run either as a precaution.”
