Musselburgh passes inspection

Racing goes ahead at Musselburgh this afternoon after the track passed a 6.30am inspection.

Frost was predicted at the course overnight forcing officials to call an early inspection.

Clerk of the course Bill Farnsworth said: "Everything is fine this morning and we're on this afternoon.

"It was a bit worrying as it started to snow at 9pm last night and we did have a covering before it started to freeze.

"Temperatures were up to plus two degrees this morning though so there are no problems."
