Musselburgh will hold a precautionary inspection at 6.30am to see if their Sunday afternoon card can go ahead.

A slight frost is forecast at the Scottish track on Saturday night but clerk of the course Bill Farnsworth is confident that racing will go ahead.

"We are forecast to get down to about minus two at ground level overnight and then get up to about plus four during the day," he explained.

"Temperatures are forecast to be above zero by 9am and the Met Office are very confident we won't have a problem.

"It is very much a precautionary inspection but it's just to alert people to the situation."
