Unlucky break for Renwick
Wilson Renwick faces a spell on the sidelines following a nasty fall at Kelso on Friday.
The jockey was taken to the Borders Hospital with an ankle injury after Peter Monteith's Hugo De Perro came to grief in the Weatherbys Insurance Handicap Chase.
"He's definitely broken his ankle," confirmed his agent Richard Hale. "It's broken quite badly, I think, and he had an operation on it last night.
"I wouldn't have a clue how long he'll be out, but it won't be a quick job."
Renwick had been on the mark earlier on the card on Encore Cadoudal gained his first success for Monteith when proving too good for Inch Island in division one of the Millhouse Hospitality Novices' Hurdle.
