Badger off mark on Siegfrieds Night
Joanna Badger was seen to good effect as she opened her 2004 account on the Michael Chapman-trained Siegfrieds Night in the Bet Direct On Attheraces Interactive Handicap at Southwell.
Badger brought Siegfrieds Night with a perfectly-timed effort to strike the front with 100 yards to run in the six-furlong test and win going away by two lengths from Melaina.
Siegfrieds Night was claimed out of the Mick Channon stable after finishing fifth in a seller at Catterick last August.
Chapman said: “Anyone who saw him in the parade ring would have had their life savings on him. He has not run a bad race since he came to me.”
