Things looking Bright for Sky
French raider Bright Sky pleased her connections this morning as she enjoyed a spin on the turf at Sha Tin ahead of the Hong Kong Cup on Sunday.
The Prix de l’Opera winner worked under Domnique Boeuf over the final 400m of the course in a time of 23.2secs
“Everything is going to plan and her work today was just ideal,” trainer Ellie Lellouche said. “Bright Sky is back over 10 furlongs in the Cup, a better distance for her than the mile and a half of her last race, the Breeders’ Cup Turf.
“I’m very happy with her.”
Meanwhile, likely favourite Falbrav looked very relaxed as he cantered on the all-weather.
Trainer Luca Cumani will let the son of Fairy King get to know the grass track with a gentle canter tomorrow before giving him a blow on it on Friday.
The Michael Jarvis-trained Rakti also did a nice bit of work, covering the all-weather 400m in 25.8 sec.
Jarvis will be on hand to oversee the Champion Stakes winner’s preparation tomorrow.
