Eddie Ahern reached 100 winners in a season for the first time when he made all the running on Rydal to land the Weatherbys European Breeders Fund Maiden Stakes at Musselburgh on Wednesday.

Fittingly it was his boss Gerard Butler, who provided the Irish-born jockey with his landmark success, which was the middle leg of a 51.5-1 treble for the duo.
