Hannon looks to unseat O'Brien in Trophy

Fantastic View faces his biggest test yet in the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster tomorrow but can rise to the challenge and break Aidan O’Brien’s stranglehold on the race.

Fantastic View faces his biggest test yet in the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster tomorrow but can rise to the challenge and break Aidan O’Brien’s stranglehold on the race.

The Richard Hannon-trained youngster has been beaten only once in four outings and looked potentially high class on his latest start at Ascot.

Always going well, he went clear a furlong from home to beat Menokee, himself an impressive winner on his previous start, by four lengths.

Temple Place and Elshadi were even further back and Fantastic View was giving weight to them all to boot.

O’Brien has sent out the winner of four of the last six runnings of the Group One feature, including the last two with subsequent Classic victors High Chaparral and Brian Boru.
