Hannon aims Voile at Leopardstown

Richard Hannon, who is going all out to land a fourth success in the Weatherbys Super Sprint at Newbury on Saturday, has his sights set on another valuable juvenile event at Leopardstown tomorrow.

The Marlborough trainer saddles Voile in the €50,000 Silver Flash Stakes over six furlongs.

The daughter of Barathea is sure to be a leading fancy for the Listed contest judged on her fine second to Pearl Grey in a similar event at Newmarket last time.

Richard Hughes takes the ride on the filly, who is drawn four of 11.

Aidan O’Brien does not have a runner, leaving Mick Kinane free to partner Maroochydore for David Wachman.

Later on the card O’Brien’s Powerscourt drops back to 10 furlongs in the Seapoint Stakes after finishing sixth in the Budweiser Irish Derby on his reappearance last month.

Powerscourt’s stable companion Handel, who finished eighth in the Curragh Classic, runs in the Listed Challenge Stakes.
