Darryll Holland will partner Just James rather than last year’s winner Continent as he bids for back-to-back victories in the £250,000 (€364,000) Darley July Cup at Newmarket on Thursday.

The in-form jockey – fresh from his victory on Falbrav in the Coral-Eclipse Stakes on Saturday – admitted he made his choice only after some serious heart-searching.
