No King George for Chaparral

High Chaparral has been ruled out of the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot on July 26.

Last year’s dual Derby winner has yet to race as a four-year-old and is now unlikely to be seen until the autumn.

Aidan O’Brien’s star suffered a bruised shoulder in April and has taken longer than expected to recover.

The trainer told the Racing Post: “He won’t make it back for the King George but we are still hoping to have him back for the autumn.”
