Eddery to hold Windsor press conference
Pat Eddery has called a press conference at Windsor racecourse this afternoon amid rumours that he is set to retire from the saddle.
The 51-year-old has called the press conference for 2pm to “announce his future plans.”
Eddery is currently second in Britain’s list of winningmost jockeys with 4,585 wins but he had been hoping to surpass Sir Gordon Richards’ record of 4,870.
The 11-time champion jockey also rode on the all-weather circuit until the end of last December in a vain attempt to notch his 28th century in 29 years.
Eddery also has four rides booked for this evening’s meeting at Windsor.
