Rhythm strikes right note at Ascot
Russian Rhythm followed up her victory in the Sagitta 1000 Guineas with a memorable success in the £250,000 (€358,512) Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot today.
Mail The Desert and the winner’s stable companion Fantasize cut out all the running, with Kieren Fallon tracking them on Russian Rhythm.
Once in the straight Fallon seized his chance on the 4-7 chance and the race was quickly over as Michael Stoute’s filly strode clear of Soviet Song (9-2) and Mail The Desert (14-1).
