Trumbaka triumphs

John Gosden’s Place Rouge was a non runner in the Group Three Prix Corrida at Saint-Cloud today.

Victory in the fillies and mares race over 10 furlongs went to Criquette Head-Maarek’s Trumbaka, ridden by Olivier Peslier, making her seasonal debut.

Gaining her second group success at the Parisian venue, Trumbaka, a 2.9-1 chance, proved a length and a half too good for Bonne Gargotte. Amathia was third.
