Kieren Fallon nearly made it two Classic wins in as many days when steering Time Ahead into second place in the Prix de Diane-Hermes (French Oaks) at Chantilly.

However, that was the highlight of a mixed day at the French track for the champion jockey who landed Saturday’s Vodafone Derby on Kris Kin.
