Song to miss Curragh date

Connections have shelved plans to send Sagitta 1000 Guineas fourth Soviet Song to the Irish equivalent at the Curragh a week on Sunday.

The Elite Racing Club-owned filly had been pencilled in for the Entenmann’s-sponsored Classic but trainer James Fanshawe told the Racing Post: “She didn’t scope very well and we now have to get her right for the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.
