O'Brien's Boru backed for Derby

Brian Boru has been backed today for next month’s Vodafone Derby at Epsom.

The Aidan O’Brien-trained colt, the winter favourite for the Derby, has come in for support with both Coral and William Hill.

Coral have cut him to 6-1 from 8-1 while William Hill go 7-1 from 8-1 after his promising run behind Alamshar in the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial last Sunday.

“Despite his defeat at Leopardstown on Sunday, punters clearly believe Aidan O’Brien will work the oracle with this horse,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
