The Irish Turf Club has overturned two race victories from earlier this year after the winning horses tested positive for drugs.

The Irish horse racing authority yesterday cancelled Rio Diamond's win in Naas last February due to the presence of phenylbutazone in the horse's system.

It also stripped Equivocal of his win in Thurles last March after the horse tested positive for procaine.

The two trainers involved, Paddy Lenihan and Mouse Morris, were both fined.
