Irish trainer Dessie Hughes is looking forward to running Mutineer in the IAWS Champion 4YO Hurdle at Punchestown tomorrow.

The Highest Honor gelding was sent off as short as 10-1 for the JCB Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival last month but he could only manage eight place in a race won by the Jonjo O’Neill-trained Spectrometer.

However, Hughes feels he has improved since and expects his charge to play a leading role tomorrow.

“I’m very much looking to Mutineer,” he said.

“He seems to be improving all the time and he was not beaten far at Cheltenham when knocked around a bit.”
