Doran's Pride suffers fatal fall at Cheltenham

Irish trainer Michael Hourigan, who had seen his star chaser Beef Or Salmon fall early in the Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup, suffered another blow today when stable stalwart Dorans Pride fell fatally at the second fence.

The 14-year-old won the 1995 Stayers’ Hurdle as well as finishing third in the 1997 and 1998 Gold Cup.
