East Tycoon got Jonjo O’Neill’s Festival week off to a flying start at Stratford and may yet form part of the trainer’s Cheltenham raiding party.

The Bigstone gelding was confidently ridden by Liam Cooper in the Series Hurdle, and though he had a scare when he made a mistake three-out, he quickly recovered to ease into the lead and then win with a winning margin of one and a quarter lengths.
