Connections of Davids Lad will have their appeal heard at the Turf Club on Monday at 3pm as they bid to overturn a punishment that would rule their horse out of the Martell Cognac Grand National.

Connections of Davids Lad will have their appeal heard at the Turf Club on Monday at 3pm as they bid to overturn a punishment that would rule their horse out of the Martell Cognac Grand National.

The date was set today for the appeal by trainer Tony Martin against the 42-day suspension for the horse and €1,000 fine he received for using the racecourse as a training ground.

Jockey Timmy Murphy was also suspended for seven days for the incident which occurred at Naas on Sunday.
