Flag Day collects win for Godolphin
Godolphin enjoyed success at Jebel Ali today when Flag Day returned to winning ways in the Jumeirah Hospitality Conditions Race.
The four-year-old Sunday Silence colt, trained by Saeed bin Suroor and ridden by Frankie Dettori, beat Marhoob by half a length in the nine-furlong event.
Flag Day was trained in France by Andre Fabre as a juvenile.
Wadmaan, a half-brother to Persian Punch, was also on the scoresheet, streaking away with a maiden over the same distance.
The four-year-old Singspiel colt won very easily by nine and three-quarter lengths from Falconer, with another four-and-a-half lengths to the third, Early Assault.
