Adiemus set for Lingfield trial

Adiemus has been given the go ahead to run in Saturday’s Littlewoods Bet Direct Winter Derby Trial at Lingfield, trainer Jeremy Noseda has confirmed on his website.

The five-year-old won the race last year before going on to take the Winter Derby and finish a close second in the Lincoln.

“Adiemus runs in the Winter Derby Trial and Darryll Holland rides,” the Newmarket trainer said.

“It will be an extremely hard task with a 12lb penalty – 5lb for winning the Trial last year and 7lb for the Winter Derby. But I’m happy with him and it should be the next stepping stone to the Winter Derby itself.”
