Davenport Milenium in for Cleeve

Saturday’s Grade One Byrne Bros Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham has attracted nine entries, including the Willie Mullins-trained Davenport Milenium, who is an 8-1 chance with William Hill for the Smurfit Champion Hurdle.

Another Irish entry is Rostropovich, from Mouse Morris’s yard.

Martin Pipe has put Classified and Mr Cool in the extended two miles and five furlong test.

Classified could renew rivalry with Eternal Spring in the Cleeve having failed by five lengths to concede 6lb to James Fanshawe’s five-year-old over course and distance last month.

Jonjo O’Neill also has two entries, Native Emperor and Sudden Shock, while Paul Nicholls could be represented by Comex Flyer and Charlie Mann’s Texas Ranger completes the list.
