Inspection at Sedgefield

Sedgefield have called a 7am inspection on Tuesday to determine if their afternoon meeting can go ahead.

The track is currently described as heavy, waterlogged in places but clerk of the course James Armstrong wants to see how the day develops before making any decisions.

He said: "The going is heavy, waterlogged in places but we are forecast possibly another five millimetres of rain today.

"The evening should be predominately dry but we are forecast more rain tomorrow morning, between five and eight millimetres.

"It's not looking great, but we've got to give it every chance."
