Braxton heading for Fairyhouse
Colonel Braxton, runner-up to Beef Or Salmon in the Ericsson Chase at Leopardstown last month, heads a field of eight declared for the Normans Grove Chase at Fairyhouse on Sunday.
The eight-year-old, trained by Dessie Hughes, was beaten six lengths by Michael Hourigan’s Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup hope in the Grade One contest.
Heading the opposition is Knife Edge, five-lengths runner-up to Queen Mother Champion Chase ante-post favourite Moscow Flyer in the Grade Two Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase at Leopardstown three weeks ago.
Go Roger Go, who finished a further five lengths back in third in his first race since winning the Tripleprint Gold Cup at Cheltenham in December 2000, is also among the eight runners.
