The first three home in the £100,000 (€160,000) Thomas Pink Gold Cup could meet again at Cheltenham next month in the Tripleprint Gold Cup.

Plans for the winner, Cyfor Malta, are unclear after his seven-length success in Saturday’s feature contest.

Bookmakers cut his price for the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Newbury in a fortnight’s time but Martin Pipe has ante-post favourite Bounce Back entered in that contest so the Tripleprint may become the favoured option.
