Dean Gallagher will not be able to reapply for his jockey's licence until May 1, 2004 after a hearing of the Jockey Club's Disciplinary Committee.

The 33-year-old had admitted that he had tested positive for the drug again having received a six-month ban in 2000 after testing positive for cocaine on three separate occasions in France.
