The Whistling Teal relished the testing underfoot conditions at Newbury on Saturday to collect the Group Three Electricity Direct St Simon Stakes in workmanlike fashion.

Trained by Geoff Wragg, the six-year-old battled gamely for Darryll Holland inside the final furlong to thwart Warrsan and Nysaean by three quarters of a length and a head respectively.
