Mail the Desert aiming for Ascot success
Mail The Desert, winner of the Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh three weeks ago, could bid for further Group One success at Ascot on Saturday.
The Mick Channon-trained filly was among 18 left in at the confirmation stage for the Meon Valley Stud Fillies‘ Mile.
Possible rivals include Summitville and Approach, who finished first and second in the May Hill Stakes at Doncaster earlier this month.
James Fanshawe‘s Soviet Song, who defeated Summitville at Newmarket last month, also stands her ground.
Reach For The Moon, who missed the Moyglare Stud Stakes due to coughing, is one of three fillies left in by Aidan O‘Brien, the others being Miss Helga and Yesterday.
Rainbows For All, who defeated Yesterday at the Curragh last month, is a fourth Irish entry, from Kevin Prendergast‘s stable.
