Kazzia classic bid in doubt
Kazzia has met with a slight setback which could rule the filly out of the Rothmans Royals St Leger at Doncaster on Saturday.
It was announced on the Godolphin website that the filly has a foot abscess.
Godolphin’s Simon Crisford said: “We very much hope that Kazzia will make the St Leger but we will not make a decision until the middle of next week.”
If she made the line up Kazzia would have a chance to land the fillies’ Triple Crown having already recorded Classic victories in the Sagitta 1000 Guineas and Vodafone Oaks this season.
Oh So Sharp was the last filly to achieve the feat in 1985.
