Quinn misses Epsom rides

Richard Quinn will sit out Friday's action after taking a heavy fall at Salisbury on Thursday.

Quinn has given up his three booked rides at Epsom after parting company with Copperfields Lass in the Numerica Handicap at the Wiltshire track.

The rider's agent Robert Parsons reports Quinn to be "fine" but that he has chosen not to ride.

Parsons explained: "He's okay but just a bit sore and stiff in his arm. I spoke to him early to mid evening on Thursday night and he thought it was possibly best to take Friday off from riding.

"He would have been okay to ride but he felt he possibly might not be able to give 110% but he will definitely be back and in top form at Thirsk."
