Irish jockey Jimmy Mansell remains in intensive care this morning after suffering serious head injuries in a fall at Ballinrobe yesterday.

Irish jockey Jimmy Mansell remains in intensive care this morning after suffering serious head injuries in a fall at Ballinrobe yesterday.

The 22-year-old Limerick man was taken to hospital in Castlebar after falling off Showboat Melody in the Connacht Gold Handicup Hurdle.

The Ballylanders jockey won the National Hunt title last year.
