Sakhee preparing for Saturday run

Sakhee, as expected, has been supplemented for the Prix Gontaut-Biron at Deauville on Saturday.

Richard Hills will partner last year’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner in France as Frankie Dettori is suffering from chicken pox.

The five-year-old has not raced since finishing a disappointing third to his stablemate Street Cry in the Dubai World Cup at Nad Al Sheba in March.

He missed the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes at Ascot last month because of unsuitable ground but he has been the subject of pleasing reports on the Newmarket gallops.

Godolphin have also added Sydenham to the field for the Group Three event over a mile and a quarter.

The four-year-old colt, also trained by Saeed bin Suroor, acted as pacemaker for Godolphin’s Grandera in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot.

A total of 11 remain in the French feature and they include two other British challengers, the Barry Hills-trained Chancellor and Richard Hannon’s Potemkin.

On Sunday, Danehurst is among 18 horses left in the Prix Maurice de Gheest over six and a half furlongs.

The four-year-old filly, trained by Mark Prescott, has been placed in two Group One sprints already this summer - the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot and Newmarket’s Darley July Cup .
