Murtagh set to boost Bell revenue
Irish jockey Johnny Murtagh will team up again with Royal Ascot winner Revenue in next Wednesday’s TNT July Stakes.
He drove the colt to a length-and-a-half victory in the Windsor Castle Stakes at the Royal meeting and has been booked for the two-year-old’s step up to Group Three company at Newmarket.
The partnership face a rematch with Aidan O’Brien’s Ontario, who finished fifth when favourite for the Windsor Castle.
But trainer Michael Bell said: ‘‘It is a tough race but Revenue is a real professional two-year-old.
‘‘If he is healthy - and he is at the moment - he he will run at Newmarket and Johnny Murtagh will ride him.
‘‘He has only done a couple of bits of work since Ascot but he looks very well. The step back up to six furlongs will not be a problem.’’
Also among 16 juveniles entered for the July Stakes are two from the stable of David Loder, who has won the last three runnings with City On A Hill, Noverre and Meshaheer.
