Bangalore set for Newcastle outing

Bangalore, winner of the Tote Chester Cup two years ago, is set to bid for another big staying handicap at Newcastle on Saturday.

The Amanda Perrett-trained six-year-old gelding, who missed all of last season through injury, is on course for the £140,000 Foster’s Lager Northumberland Plate having proved his well being with a smooth success at Kempton at the beginning of the month.
