Pat Eddery has a full book of six rides at Royal Ascot today as he bids to edge past his great friend Lester Piggott in the all-time standings for British winners.

The evergreen 50-year-old jockey notched victory number 4,493 - and equalled Piggott’s total - as Romantic Liason took the Queen Mary Stakes on Wednesday.
