Milan on road to recovery
Trainer Aidan O’Brien has said last season’s Rothmans Royals St Leger winner Milan is making good progress after suffering a spiral fracture of his off-fore cannon bone.
Milan suffered the injury on his reappearance at the Curragh earlier this month.
He said: ‘‘He’s still at the Troytown Veterinary Hospital but the reports are good and he will be definitely be back next year, if not by the backend of this season.’’
Milan also finished second to Fantastic Light in the Breeders’ Cup Turf at Belmont Park on his final start last term.
